The mission of the Open Science (OS) office is to facilitate OS practices at CERN and in the HEP community at large. The OS office coordinates the efforts of open science practitioners among the CERN experiments (as represented through the Open Science Practitioners Forum) and supports institution-wide open science decision making bodies such as the Open Science Steering Board. 

The OS office supports the exchange among Open Science practitioners and seeks to support Open Science practices in line with the overall goals and measures outlined in the Open Science Policy. The aim is to foster consistent Open Science practices across the organization that push the boundaries of innovative research and at the same time preserve the accountability and uniqueness of CERN's research.
