Become a community ambassador

As community ambassador you are already practicing Open Science actively and consciously, and you want to share your excitement and passion for it with the CERN community.

We know, of course, that doing open science is already a commitment beyond your “normal” job, therefore we are here to support you in any way.

There are various activities which you can do as a community ambassador. Here are some examples, but you can always add your own idea.

Contribute an open-science storyDocument your story to share with the CERN community or showcase it as a best practice example for the outside world. All you need to do is to find an hour to chat. The OS office will write your story and take care of its dissemination.
Provide feedback on resourcesReview draft guidelines and training materials before broader release to ensure practical relevance.
Host informal “coffee chats”Host an informal session in your team, group or department for colleagues curious about open science practices. Can be as “low-key” or “official” as you like. If you need any infrastructural support (room bookings, advertisement, slides or even an input talk on a specific topic like open access), the OS office is happy to assist.
Co-develop training contentIf you have a teaching inclination, you can contribute to training material development, bringing authentic examples from your practice.

Becoming an ambassador is as easy as filling this form. Please be aware of your available resources and commit only to what you can do. If you have any questions about what it would entail, would like to share your ideas about how to better reach the community, or just would like to grab a coffee, please reach out to the Open Science office.

You must be logged in to submit the form.
