CERN publishes its first Open Science Report
CERN has released its inaugural Open Science report, providing a comprehensive review of the organization's progress in implementing its Open Science policy during 2023-2024. The report, which reflects the collective efforts and contributions of all Open Science practitioners across the organization, examines compliance across all open science practices identified in CERN's policy framework, established in 2022, spanning everything from open access publications and data sharing to open source software and hardware, research integrity, infrastructure support, research assessment, educational outreach initiatives and citizen science.
Beyond documenting institutional achievements across these seven pillars, the report highlights CERN's evolving commitment to ensuring scientific knowledge serves as a common good. This milestone publication demonstrates how CERN continues to advance transparent, accessible, and collaborative research practices through the dedicated work of its research community.
